Diabetes – Type1, Type 2, Gestational diabetes, Secondary diabetes and others
Thyroid disorders – hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, goitre
Obesity – Endocrine aspects
Metabolic Bone diseases- like osteoporosis, parathyroid disorders and calcium and vitamin D deficiency and excess disorders
Paediatric endocrinology including diabetes, thyroid, growth and puberty disorders in children
Male and female endocrine related reproductive disorders
Endocrine aspects of male and female infertility disorders
Endocrine problems in pregnancy
Pituitary & hypothalamic diseases
Adrenal disorders
These endocrinology services are supported by state of the art laboratory and radiological services. Bone mineral density by DEXA, is done for the 
detection and follow up of osteoporosis. The various hormonal investigations are done at the hospital’s RIA lab and some tests which are not done at 
our laboratory are sent to the city’s leading pathology labs. 

Rare endocrinological tumours have been detected and operated at the Holy Family Hospital by eminent and experienced surgeons. 

A team work approach is used while treating any patient that comes to the department of endocrinology. There is active participation and cooperation 
from all senior and junior colleagues, hospital staff, nursing staff and administration for the welfare of the patients who are seen in this department. 

Holy Family Hospital also cultivates public awareness regarding the prevention and management of endocrine problems like diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis 
etc by conducting patient education programmes. Nurse education programmes are also done on a timely basis.
