With every newborn, the Holy Family Hospital, kota, celebrates the miracle of life. A baby-friendly hospital with a long tradition of excellence in maternity and child care, our institution has its origins in a private nursing home reputed for its maternity care.
Helmed by eight consultants, we are also pleased to state that our Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is one of the largest obstetrics centres in the kota.
It is a fully-equipped department that specialises in handling emergency cases and emergency referral cases from other hospitals including private hospitals, government hospitals and nursing homes.

Birthing Class : We are also among the handful of hospitals in Kota that conduct a Birthing Class for expectant mothers and fathers.
Expectant Fathers
We encourage both parents to participate in the delivery process . Expectant fathers who choose to remain present during their childs delivery may make a request to the hospitals Nursing Director. However, we advise expectant fathers to attend certain modules of the Birthing Classes and abide by the hospital’s rules.
Those who choose not to remain present during delivery can remain seated in a waiting room provided outside the Obstetrics Department on the third floor.
Rooming In
This means that the newborn spends most or all of their time in the room with their mother. Such an arrangement, which is possible in a private room, enables new parents to bond with their babies and prepare them to provide the best possible care at home.
Birth Information Certificate
Before discharge, parents must collect their babys birth information certificate. Check the details to make sure all the particulars are correct. This document is required to be submitted to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to apply for your newborn’s birth certificate. Registering your child’s birth with the municipal authorities is an essential legal process. It is a critical document and has implications for your child's future.
Maternity Admissions
Expectant mothers choosing to deliver their babies at the hospital must register and pay a deposit while in the seventh month of pregnancy. The deposit varies with the class of accommodation. More

Our Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is fully equipped to perform both conventional as well as endoscopic surgery.
In 1993, the Holy Family Hospital in Kota was one of the first in this city to equip itself with state-of-the-art equipment in video endoscopy. Today, the department carries on this fine pioneering tradition and routinely performs gynaecological video endoscopic and other state-of-the-art procedures.

We have 3 Operation Theatres dedicated to gynaecological procedures. This includes a Gynaeocological Endoscopic Unit which is equipped with a High Definition 3 chip camera (all patients receive a video of the procedure), RGB monitors, top-of-the-line insufferator, morcelator (state-of-the-art RotaCut) and cautery machine (enables removal of large cysts very quickly) and a state-of-the-art video colposcope for cervical procedures.
DNB
Our hospital has been designated as teaching hospital for the Diplomate of National Board examination (DNB) in 2005 and has a regular stream of quality post-graduate students. The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology has been allotted 2 seats per year for the DNB course.
